definitely grew up with sheltered, more conservative rich girl views. was never mean per se, but spouted some problematic stuff like bootstraps theory and deserving / undeserving poor (these views are a problem for a while, too). responsive and willing to change those opinions, though, and not one to whine and try to defend those views once they're challenged. open minded. protective of her loved ones (aka the other sex workers). quickly learns to swing a baseball bat at any motherfucker who tries shit. boarding school / upper crust life taught her to survive more than people expect. she is quick to adapt to her circumstances. tends to avoid talking about her own problems/history because she doesn't want to be treated differently by the womxn she knows.

runaway heiress. not really a "choice", more a case of survival. cult (or whatever it is) was spreading through the upper class and she twigged and legged it. living off limited funds — she siphoned a few thousand out of her trust fund / accounts but it's not enough to live off. so she picks up the first job she can find: sex work. she starts stripping / pole dancing and is summarily thrown in the deep end of lower class womxn's problems. (her eventual goal becomes to run her own joint where she can protect fellow sex workers.) she may or may not end up in a relationship with Aisling (she/they). had an abortion as a teenager after fooling around with her then boyfriend. The first time she meets Aisling, Aisling calls her "fancy" for mentioning heirlooms. Aisling may also be the only person who knows she's an heiress. Definitely misses her family, esp her aunt. World info: magic is a commodity. She was probably due to inherit her mother's magic storage box but obviously that isn't happening any more. but it's a physical thing, think tinkerbell's pixie dust. you sprinkle it on shit to make magic happen. I'm thinking like, equivalent to 1990s in terms of era, but I need to figure out how magic interacts with societal development, and what divergences there are from real world history.
